PEXA’s Training team named as national education finalists
By PEXA - 29 September 2019
PEXA was recognised as finalists in two categories at The Institute for Learning Professionals – Australasia’s Learning Impact Awards.
Property Exchange Australia (PEXA)’s Training team was recognised for its contributions to the e-Conveyancing network, named as finalists in two categories at the recent Australian Learning Impact Awards (ALIAs) held in Brisbane on 28 September.
The awards celebrate outstanding learning and development professionals who have had considerable impact in sectors and industries across Australasia.
As lawyers, conveyancers and financial institutions nationwide rapidly transitioned to digital property transactions, a significant educational project was required to be completed, with a clear ‘learning need’ identified for the sector.
PEXA’s two-woman strong, expert team helped guide the industry through this period of change, with their body of work in FY19 including:
- 268 external sessions delivered
- 6,967 individuals trained
- 4,673 firms trained
In this time, three states, Victoria, New South Wales and Western Australia fully embraced electronic settlements.
The breadth of the team’s educational support can be attributed to the “network effect” – delivering exceptional training to members in a way that enables them to then teach others. It’s a growth mindset that the team hopes will future proof the next generation of practitioners and allow knowledge to be passed down in a fluid way.
PEXA Training team members Nichola Baker and Nancy Madafferi were delighted to be recognised at the awards.
“We consider training and development to be an integral part of the PEXA journey for both our members and internal staff. It was a privilege to be recognised amongst our peers for the impact we have made to the legal and conveyancing industry, assisting them with the ongoing transition to 100% digital. Though we didn’t take an award home with us, it was an honour to be a part of the event and we’d like to congratulate all the winners on their outstanding accomplishments.
